By Bryan Hood | TUNE: “Girls Love Beyoncé,” a bizarre piece of R&B flavored hip-hop that claims one of the best song titles of the year. Though some may view of the whole thing as a tone deaf move from the rapper, we think the lurching beat, oh so smooth flow, and appropriated Destiny’s Child hook make for a great mix.
BY: Drake, the Canadian MC who divides opinion way more than someone of his critical and popular success should — we’re big fans if you couldn’t tell by this point — with a chorus from crooner James Fauntleroy.
CURRENTLY: Theoretically this might be off Drake’s upcoming third studio album, “Nothing Was The Same,” but, despite its quality, it feels like too much of a tossed off scrap to make the cut. For a more traditional Drake, check out his verse on the new DJ Khaled single, “No New Friends,” which also dropped yesterday.
