By Bryan Hood | TUNE: “Generational Synthetic” shows a band in transition, fortifying the wispiness of their early work by adding more drive and texture, while still holding onto the delicacy and melody that made them stand out in the first place.
BY: Beach Fossils, the former one-man jangle rock project by Dustin Payseur, which over the last three years has become a full fledged, slightly more muscular four piece featuring DIIV’s Cole Smith and Heavenly Beat’s John Peńa.
CURRENTLY: This is the second single off the band’s sophomore full length, “Clash the Truth,” a follow up to 2011’s very satisfying “What a Pleasure” EP. The record is due out February 19 from Captured Tracks.
