By Craig Hubert | “American Horror Story: Asylum,” the new season (or sequel to the miniseries) of Ryan Murphy’s campy fright fest has already managed to pull in a staggering amount of talent for its cast, but the names keep coming. On Twitter, Murphy broke the news that Emmy-winning actor Ian McShane (“Deadwood”) will appear this season in an unspecified role, where the British actor will “tussle with Jessica Lange.” No word yet on what kind of tussle – nobody throws verbal jabs and insults quite like McShane, but Lange does play Sister Jude, some sort of scary (and dead?) mental hospital headmistress. And since this is the world of Ryan Murphy we’re talking about, expect the most ridiculous scenario. FX has also released the first five minutes of the first episode, which isn’t that scary except for the fact that you have to watch Adam Levine act. The new season starts October 17th, just in time to get your rubber suits ready for Halloween.
