By Bryan Hood | It’s tough for bands to make money these days, especially when you’re a young, barely-known Danish punk act with no chance of crossover success. But Iceage, the kings of Copenhagen’s burgeoning punk scene, have come up with an interesting solution to that problem: Weird merch items. How weird are we talking? Pitchfork reports that the band is currently selling knives and locks of their own hair. The knives, which bear the band’s logo, were available for purchase at shows on the band’s recently completed U.S. mini-tour. Selling knives to a bunch of people who are about to wade into a mosh pit might not sound like the wisest idea, but the band took that into account, posting a sign letting fans know that “no stabbing” was allowed. As for the locks of hair, they’re currently available for purchase on the band’s website. Each lock costs €20, and you get to chose the band member whose head it comes from. Who will you chose? Johan? Dan? Elias? Maybe even Jakob?
