Making a surprise appearance, supermodel-turned-stylist Kate Moss donned a vintage Ziggy Stardust playsuit — worn by David Bowie for his legendary concert at London’s Rainbow Theatre in Finsbury Park in 1972 — to collect an award on his behalf at the Brit Awards earlier this week. Let’s just hope he washed it. Bowie scooped the British Male Solo Artist trophy, reportedly his first Brit for 18 years. The orange leotard-style costume, known as “the rabbit costume” due to its print, was designed by Kansai Yamamoto. (more…)

What better way to celebrate Playboy’s 60th birthday than get Kate Moss to take her kit off for an 18-page spread?
To help keep newsstands’ traffic under control, the 39-year-old British supermodel appears on the cover of the January/February double issue donning the quintessential bunny suit, ears and cuffs. But since everyone reads Playboy for the articles, accompanying the more skin-baring pictorial inside is a naughty-ish sit-down interview between Moss and Tom Jones. (more…)
Rumors that Kate Moss would drop proverbial trou for Playboy’s January issue have been steeping since March, but they gained traction when celebrity hairstylist Oribe told Refinery 29 last week the shoot had already taken place.
Kate Moss, the 39-year-old wünder-model, appears on the cover of LOVE magazine’s Spring/Summer 2013 issue. It’s theme? “Clean.” Photographed by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, Moss is shown taking a bath in nothing but a cutaway T-shirt and some pretty great make-up, despite being soaking wet.
Yet the racy only gets racier. Inside, Moss appears fully nude in an editorial shot by Tim Walker, with her only coverage provided by…a dragonfly. Liberty Ross, Ruby Jean Wilson, Lulu Kennedy, Eliza Cummings and Cara Delevingne are also depicted in various states of undress, in a spread shot by Sølve Sundsbo.
Once white-hot British model Agyness Deyn has a big profile, as does omnipresent Victoria Beckham. Kudos to Moss though, for being able to pull this off with aplomb and ferocity—even if expertly photoshopped. The issue is downloadable from LOVE’s website now (for iPad). (more…)
If Donatella Versace’s Spring/Summer 2013 collection felt a little looser and a bit more relaxed, its campaign has all the Southern Italian glamour we’ve come to expect from the label. The new ads star some of the world’s most heavenly bodies in an Olympian tableau shot by Mert and Marcus. Set against a dramatic night sky, the pictures feature Kate Moss looking every inch the goddess in a persimmon minidress, Joan Smalls working a pair of lingerie-lace inspired pants, and Daria Werbowy staring off into the distance, covered only by a layered, coin-and-chain necklace and the face of a male model. Art lovers mourned the passing of figurative painter Lucian Freud in 2011, but his memory lives on – of all places – on Kate Moss’s backside! In an interview with Vanity Fair, the 38-year-old supermodel revealed that a Freud original is preserved for posterity on her world-famous posterior. Freud, who painted a nude portrait of a pregnant Moss in 2002, wanted to give Moss a tat of an upside down chicken in a bucket, but they eventually settled on a less bizarre option: two swallows resting on the base of her spine. Freud’s innocuous little design is probably the most valuable tramp-stamp of all time. “If it all goes horribly wrong,” Moss joked, “I could get a skin graft and sell it!” (more…)
