Inaugural “China Fashion Night” Gala Celebrates Vivienne Tam and Guo Pei

Fashion Week opens with a bang tonight as the China Charity Beauty Fund’s Inaugural Gala, “China Fashion Night,” brings the fashion world together to honor influential visionary Vivienne Tam, and debut China’s premier haute couturier Guo Pei’s awe-inspiring collection for the first time in the U.S. — all for a good cause.

The company helps provide grants and scholarships for Chinese women to participate in international academic exchanges. Tonight’s gala sponsors the CBCF scholarship Fund and exchange at FIT, which provides Chinese women the opportunity to study at the university and access to internships with global fashion brands, as well access to funds to entrepreneurial start-up businesses through the help of Fashion 4 Development. Chinese American entrepreneur Yue-Sai Kan, actor Archie Kao, and Miss Universe Olivia Culpo will host the gala, and the award for Tam will be presented by model Petra Nemcova.
