This morning the retailer Opening Ceremony announced a forthcoming collaboration with DKNY. Fifteen pieces from the iconic New York brand’s early-nineties heyday will be tweaked and reintroduced. Think body-con jumpsuits, graphic tees, and cropped jackets, pairing the nostalgic glory of the time with the store’s hipster sensibilities.
Getting some flak along the way, Opening Ceremony is known for its virtually endless list of partnerships, which have included Uniqlo, Levi’s, Rodarte, Robert Clergerie and personalities such as Chloë Sevigny and Yoko Ono. But since OC and DKNY are and were the epitome of street cool, connecting the decades would seem the most concrete of collaboration ideas.
Ranging in price from $145 to $665, the capsule will be available at all Opening Ceremony stores and online.
