Louis W. Goes All-American for A.P.C.

When longtime A.P.C. co-designer Louis Wong launched his Louis W capsule collection last fall, he found inspiration in the bad boys of French cinema. This year he’s replaced icon Gerard Depardieu and his ilk with their American brethren. It’s a look that’s all about L.A.

The collection features four classically inspired cuts distilled through the A.P.C. lens — including new takes on last season’s Police and Andy Motorcycle styles. New additions include the Tom, a two-pocket style inspired by Maverick in “Top Gun“, and Ferris, a bomber that riffs on collegiate dressing. The jackets are available in a variety of materials, including ultra-luxe glove leather and suede, with the additional option of a lambswool for the Ferris. True Hollywood players, however, will want to make like Oscar, and go for the gold in the metallic Army Ferris.

To celebrate the new collection, which hits stores January 18, A.P.C. has released a behind-the-scenes video from the new campaign. Check it out below.
