Raf Simons’s Dior debut was one of 2012’s most heralded collections, so it’s no surprise the campaign to go with it is also a complete stunner — in Simons’s pared-down way, of course.
The images, shot by frequent Simons collaborator Willy Vanderperre, show some of the season’s greatest hits, including those iridescent skirts, plus the collection’s neck scarves, embellished jackets, and perfectly cut trousers. The clothes are shown on groups of models in a non-descript white space, with some dashes of sky and floral decorations seemingly added clip-art style. It’s a big departure from the brand’s previous campaign images — which featured glamazons like Karlie Kloss, Lily Donaldson, and Jessica Stam in dramatic, OTT tableaux — and yet another crowning achievement in the reign of Raf.
