Got some not-so-hard-earned holiday dough burning a whole in your pocket? You could brave the post-Christmas sales, or you could get some great art on the cheap, all while supporting L.A.’s beloved magazine shop-slash-boutique Ooga Booga.
The shop, which stocks super-cool labels with and arty bent like Creatures of Comfort, Bless, and Slow and Steady Wins the Race, has commissioned a series of print editions from artists Raymond Pettibon, Shannon Ebner, David Benjamin Sherry, and Bella Foster, in hopes of raising cash for the shop. The prints are priced from $150 (for Foster’s colorful cat-and-dinner serigraph) to $1,500 (for Pettibon’s two-color lithograph) — or you can pick up the whole set for $3,000.
We’re particularly fond of Sherry’s dreamy photograph “Indigo Wells, Oregon” (above) — just in case you were looking for a belated gift for your favorite fashion writers.
