The CFDA Fashion Incubator may very well host the city’s highest concentration of emerging talent per square foot. In the council’s latest effort to promote American design, the Fashion Incubator program offers mentoring and low-cost studio space to ten up-and-coming designers. Today, stop by to enjoy deep discounts from some of the initiative’s 2012 class: Ari Dein, Burkman Bros., Isaora, Jonathan Simkhai, Number:Lab, Timo Weiland, and Whit.
Each label has set up their own sale, with highlights including a Timo Weiland structured leather jacket at $250 and Whit’s patterned shorts and blazers at 60% off (pictured). The real treasure trove, however, is Jonathan Simkhai, with finds priced at $50, $75, $100, $150, and up — plus markdowns on current season merch. The sporty sweaters, skirts, and blouses in saturated reds and blues (plus black and white, of course) are proof that the CFDA made a wise choice when it picked Simkhai as a last-minute addition to the program in October.
The CFDA Fashion Incubator Sample Sale runs December 14 from noon – 7:30 p.m.
