One Line Review: Steven Holl’s Tianjin Ecocity Ecology and Planning Museums, Tianjin, China

Watercolor enthusiast Steven Holl recently released the designs of the Tianjin Ecocity Ecology and Planning Museums, two complimentary 20,000-square-foot buildings of corresponding protruding and negative spaces, connected by underground tunnel, as part of a forthcoming Bohai Bay, 350,000-resident eco-city.

Janelle Zara: I appreciate conceptual experiments, but these are protrusions of ugliness.

Kelly Chan: I like the tunnel the best.
