Can’t Get Enough Apps? There’s an Armchair for That.

While we’ve been waiting for his Playing With Tradition rug to finish downloading since 2009, irreverent Dutch designer Richard Hutten brings us another tech-inspired bit of home furnishing to tide us over. The familiar rounded corners of his new Apps seating collection take cues from what their name would suggest: the icons on your iPhone. Since we don’t spend enough time with our apps, it’s great to be able to sink down in a physical manifestation of one at the end of the day — but could he make it as easy to rearrange them in our living rooms as it is to rearrange our screens? The armchair, Version 1.0, and the loveseat, Version 2.0, are now on view at Belgian design biennial Interieur 2012.  [MoCoLoco]
