The editors at Curbed recently took a nice trip down to Herzog & de Meuron’s 40 Bond Street in downtown Manhattan to survey what locals had to say about everyone’s favorite designer “graffiti”-encaged condo. It seems that people are generally into the building’s “unique” appeal, but its critics had some dynamite, quote-worthy lines, including:
“I liked the parking lot better, even though I was mugged there.”
And the succinct and humorously edited:
“These new buildings are…ugly. The people who live in them are…”
