Here are the results from the semi-final round of Art Madness II: America Picks the Greatest Post-War Artwork Tournament. Voting in the final begins tomorrow.
- Spiral Jetty d. Erased de Kooning Drawing 66%-34%; and
- White Flag d. Monogram, 53%-47%.

I wonder if was true during the “playoffs” that the whiter work in comparison would more frequently win out. Here we are a century after Malevich’s white painting, and a white Jasper Johns painting is going up against the salt-encrusted Spiral Jetty. Both great artworks, to be sure, but what happened along the way to red, yellow, and blue?
