If anything motivates me to buy one of those electronic tablet thingys, it’ll be this: LACMA has put ten more catalogues online. The ‘new’ catalogues are all LACMA publications on European art (click the “European art” tab), from this collection catalogue to this Maurice Tuchman Soutine catalogue (cover at right, when it cost $0.50 (!!!).)
LACMA now has 28 catalogues available online. Previous e-releases covered contemporary art and German expressionism. My favorites are LACMA’s 1968 Billy Al Bengston catalogue and its 1966 Bob Irwin/Ken Price catalogue.
Related: LACMA rolled out this project last January and I wrote about the details of the program in greater depth here.
