Miracle on Museum Row

A c. 1955 photo of today’s Museum Row, from the Metro Transportation Library and Archive. Behind Santa and unidentified movers and shakers is the building that will one day house the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures (2016???)

There were actual snowmen, outsized and creepy as a Charles Ray. The Metro collection also documents promotions more relevant to a film museum.
