Jason Edward Kaufman is an art and culture critic, reporter, editor, photographer and teacher. His writing has appeared in The Washington Post, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Los Angeles Times and numerous other publications, including The Art Newspaper, for which he long served as Chief U.S. Correspondent, as well as in exhibition catalogues for the Whitney Museum, Beyeler Foundation, Morgan Library, and Central Academy of Fine Arts in Beijing). A 2000-2001 Knight-Wallace Journalism Fellow at the University of Michigan, where he taught contemporary art, Kaufman has lectured and moderated panels on the arts at museums and universities in the U.S., Europe, Russia, South America, and Asia.
