As New Yorkers, okay, some of us jaded New Yorkers, we’re always looking to be impressed.  In the summer, this usually means time in the Hamptons with endless choices of what to do.  This Saturday night offers the most perfect duo of both food and art events.

First, we’ll start with the culinary experience of the summer, which is the annual James Beard Chefs & Champagne. Held since its inception at the Wölffer Estate in Sagaponack and this year celebrating its 25th anniversary, dine under the open sky with the top chefs in the country with lots of bubbly and an almost endless amount of both classic as well as innovative cuisine.

Tickets are still on sale and the best option is for VIP entry beginning at 5 PM.  For more information and to purchase tickets, visit:

A few years behind in anniversaries, don’t miss the highly creative 22nd annual Watermill Benefit, a favorite of the cultural world since it combines not only art, but fashion, theater, society and design. Unique performances and installations abound and it’s an experience that will be hard to forget.

The video of last year’s event and ticket information are available at:

Yes, there are time crossovers and decisions to be made as to when to go and where but isn’t that your typical Hamptons dilemma?
