Australian artist James Gulliver Hancock’s idea is not necessarily a new one, but it’s garnering him well-earned attention for his delicate, stylized drawings and paintings of New York buildings, which have recently been turned into a book published by Rizzoli.
Public art: So rich in site-specificity, so lacking in pelvic thrusting. Luckily, the Humping Pact is out to change all that. The brainchild of Berlin-based artists Diego Agullo, 32, and Dmitry Paranyushkin, 30, the Humping Pact was conceived in 2011 during a residency at PACT Zollverein center for performance and choreography in Essen, Germany.
