OHWOW Gallery Changes Name, Announces Detroit Residency

Hear ye, hear ye: as of September 1, LA’s OHWOW Gallery will now be called Moran Bondaroff, after founding partners Aaron Bondaroff, Mills Moran, and Al Moran. And in spring of 2016, the gallery plans to launch a residency in Detroit, in partnership with Know Wave and Printed Matter — part of a planned series of traveling exhibitions, one per year, that will aim to “design socially relevant programming” for each locale, according to a release. Future sites include New Orleans, Mexico City, and Havana. Meanwhile, Moran Bondaroff will continue to rep the same roster of artists, including Daniel Arsham, Luis Gispert, David Benjamin Sherry, Agathe Snow, and the Robert Mapplethorpe Estate, for which the gallery is the official Los Angeles representative.
