Instagrams of the Art World: Bushwick Open Studios, and More

Klaus Biesenbach (klausbiesenbach) got a pre-preview of Bushwick Open Studios, including a chat with Deborah Brown at Storefront Ten Eyck.

Antoine Sargent (sirsargent), meanwhile, checked out some of the more literal lines in the Guggenheim’s “Storylines,” opening officially today.

Jayson Musson (jaysonmusson) made George Bush portrait toilet paper, so that’s pretty important.

Rashaad Newsome (rashaadnewsome) caught his dog doing a spot of midday yoga.

We’re not sure exactly what Takashi Murakami (takashipom) was up to here, but we’re already jealous.

JR (jr) got a studio visit from Polish model Anja Rubik (this writer typed, narrowly avoiding the 9 million “head” jokes that jumped immediately to mind).

And speaking of which, here’s the back of Maria Baibakova’s (baibakovart), admiring some Haley Mellin canvases.

Lucy Chadwick (lkchadwick) reminded us why it’s preferable, at least from a childhood photo album stance, to have parents in the arts — framing, styling, stuffed monkey, on point.

And finally this week, in further familial news, Kathy Grayson (kathy__grayson) uncovered a painting she made in college at her childhood home. Her response? “Thanks parents! But you should throw this one away I think.”
