As is customary art fair practice, Expo Chicago will present a series of special projects at its third edition this September 18 through 21. The six projects include contributions from Chicago-based non-profit 6018North, local artist Erik L. Peterson (whose neon sculpture “Seep” is pictured above), and renowned Chicago architect Jeanne Gang, among others.
“In addition to presenting the world’s leading galleries, Expo Chicago is also committed to showcasing installations and projects from select regional and international museums, institutions, foundations and organizations that are making significant contributions to the contemporary art world through their educational and innovative exhibitions,” fair president/director Tony Karman said in a press release. “Our Special Exhibitions and Projects programming adds an important facet to the exposition by deepening our global institutional partnerships and further enhancing the broad range of work for our arts patrons to experience.”
