WHAT: “NURTUREart Annual Benefit 2013”

WHEN: VIP Preview: 5:00–7:00 p.m.; General Admission: 7:00–9:00 p.m.
NURTUREart needs some nurturing, and tonight’s your chance to help out, as the worthy Bushwick non-profit (“Our Name Is Our Mission”) holds its annual benefit gala in midtown at Bernarducci Meisel. The event, co-chaired by Christopher K. Ho, Renwick Paige, and Steve Shane, promises “260 works of contemporary art” — including the Michael Livingston video “To Hunt and Be Hunted,” pictured above — as well as “delicious food and wine, and a lively mix of artists, collectors, curators, and other art lovers in attendance.” If you need a sense of what its programming means, there will also as well as a special mini-show of works form students connected with NURTUREart’s education outreach. Tickets start at $250, a level which grants you the ability to take away one of the fine works on view (there’s also a $75 “entry-only” level). If you can’t make it, an online auction runs through the 30th.
