SEVEN, the freewheeling curatorial collaboration best known for its annual art fair in Miami during Art Basel Miami Beach and Brooklyn during Frieze Week, will not return to New York’s the Boiler this May, ARTINFO has learned. Many of the same dealers will be organizing a fair in Texas alongside the Dallas Art Fair from April 10 to 14, and the turnaround time was too tight to accommodate both events, according to Postmasters Magdalena Sawon.

SEVEN proved a welcome addition to Frieze New York last year when its participating galleries — Hales Gallery, Ronald Feldman Fine Arts, Postmasters, PPOW, Winkleman Gallery, BravinLee programs, and Pierogi Gallery — took over the Boiler on North 14th Street in Brooklyn’s Williamsburg neighborhood. This year, Pierogi, which operates the Boiler, will present an exhibition of multimedia sculptor Jonathan Schipper there instead.

BravinLee, P.P.O.W., Pierogi, Postmasters, and Ronald Feldman will be joined by Catherine Clark and Inman Galleries at Dallas Contemporary for the SEVEN spin-off, dubbed Caja Dallas.
