Though Louis Vuitton remains best-known in the art world for its collaborations with market-tested darlings like Takashi Murakami and Yayoi Kusama, the fashion label is branching out with a new series of scarfs designed by a trio of globe-trotting street artists: Brazilian twins Os Gemeos, New York’s Lady Aiko, and Los Angeles’s Retna.

“I wanted to give Louis Vuitton something very original, very strong,” says Retna in a short video about the project (embedded below). “They just look so elegant and so fresh.” His piece, which incorporates his trademark calligraphy-like script, shares a purple-pink palette with Aiko’s work for her Vuitton collaboration.
“I’m talking about day and night, about time, seasons, and love, and graffiti of course,” Aiko says of her work, which features a repeated female silhouette against a backdrop of the trademark LV pattern.
The $450 Os Gemeos scarf (above) and $795 for the Aiko piece are both sold out online — though they may still be available by telephone — while the Retna scarf is still available for $895.
