The French street artist Invader, known for his surreptitious tile installations portraying characters from vintage video games including “Pac-Man” and “Space Invaders” — at least one of which he actually sent into space — on streets around the world and, more recently, at PULSE Miami, is expanding his repertoire to include vintage cartoon characters. He recently completed a large Pink Panther mosaic (above) in Paris.

Invader installed his portrait of the cartoon feline in Paris’s Impasse Delaunay, a dead-end street near Père Lachaise Cemetery. According to the site Street Art News, this marks the prolific tiler’s 1,039th installation on the streets of Paris.
