ARTINFO reported yesterday that the online print sales site 20×200 had gone offline, with rumors swirling about either CEO Jen Bekman or her staff or both departing. (Going to the site currently brings up a note saying the company will be making updates.) Bekman sent out an email last night around 10pm to a selected group, in which she notes the site “will regroup + staff up again shortly” but in the interim will be operating “with just a few people on the team,” which seems to confirm that she is without most of her staff of 18 — though her current status is still unclear. ARTINFO did not receive this email, but finance blogger Felix Salmon posted it to his Tumblr:

Subject: changes afoot at 20×200
I wanted to write and give you a quick update about the changes happening at 20×200. I’m working with the board to plan the path forward and while we work out the details, we’re temporarily suspending operations. We’ll regroup + staff up again shortly, but in the interim we’ll be operating with just a few people on the team.
I’m sure this raises questions and concerns for you, and I’m happy to talk through the details with people individually. It’s going to take at least a few more days before I’ll have anything definitive to report, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t reach out. Carrie + Jeffrey, cc’d, are also available via email or phone as well.
Thanks so much,
