Independent New York Announces Exhibitors for 2013 Armory Week Fair

The Chelsea-based art fair Independent New York founded by gallerists Elizabeth Dee and Darren Flook announced the list of exhibitors who will be participating in its fourth edition, scheduled to take place March 7-10, 2013 at its usual location, the former Dia Foundation building at 548 West 22nd Street, concurrent with the Armory Show.

The 2013 roster includes 40 galleries and non-profit spaces, in addition to publishers and bookmakers whose booths will be housed in the Christian Wassmann-designed rooftop pavilion. This year will mark the Independent debuts of two neighboring art spaces that were among the hardest hit by Hurricane Sandy: Printed Matter and The Kitchen. The fair is also launching its $10,000 Privatus Prize, which will go to one gallery or institution at the fair that distinguishes itself with an outstanding curatorial vision.
