The Whitney Museum Will Resume Regular, Post-Sandy Hours on Thursday

Following the leads of the Metropolitan Museum and MoMA, the Whitney Museum announced today plans to resume regular opening hours after the passage of Hurricane Sandy. The Madison Avenue institution will reopen tomorrow, returning to its regular 11am-6pm schedule.

Despite the return to normal hours, tomorrow night’s “Richard Artschwager Gallery Talk” between curator Jennifer Gross and Adam McEwan, has been canceled. Those looking to contact the museum for other program details are out of luck: its phone lines and email servers remain out of commission.

The museum has not yet responded to a request for comment about how the storm has affected the downtown construction site for its forthcoming new building in the Meatpacking District.
