For her final show before heading to the Venice Biennale in June of next year, MacArthur fellow Sarah Sze has created a sculptural installation at the High Museum of Art in Atlanta, Georgia. The works are a part of “Fast Forward: Modern Moments 1913–2013,” a show presented in collaboration with the MoMA and highlighting six key years in 20th-century art history.
Sze’s installation, “Book of Parts (Centennial),” is a three-dimensional exploration of the work of other artists in the show including Picasso, de Kooning, Pollock, and Rothko. In addition to Sze, works by contemporary artists Aaron Curry and Katharina Grosse are included in “Fast Forward,” which will run from October 13 to January 20, 2013.
