Chelsea’s Robert Mann Gallery Moving Around the Corner to 26th Street

With summer just a week away, get ready for a deluge of posts about new galleries coming on the scene and existing galleries moving locations (or moving on). The first such item of the season comes from Robert Mann Gallery, whose current space on the 10th floor of 210 Eleventh Avenue (on the corner of West 25th Street) has one of the best views of any Chelsea gallery, while its new location will offer vastly improved visibility — albeit at the expense of the skyline view.

The venerable photography gallery, which is in its 27th year, announced today that it will take up residence at 525 West 26th Street in the fall. That building, which also houses Mixed Greens, Schroeder Romero & Shredder, and formerly non-profit White Box — before it migrated to the Lower East Side — has been abuzz with construction activity for months now. The gallery has set neither an opening date for its new space, nor an inaugural exhibition.
