Diana Phillips to Retire from Sotheby’s, Andrew Gully to Replace Her as Communications Head

The Sotheby’s corporate structure is about to receive a slight shake-up. Andrew Gully, the current senior vice president for communications and external affairs at Brandeis University, will be the new worldwide director of communications at Sotheby’s. Sotheby’s press office confirmed to ARTINFO that Gully will succeed Diana Phillips, who will retire after 27 years at the company and 24 in her current position.

Phillips informed Sotheby’s that she was planning to retire early last year. Gully, for his part, spent almost 30 years as a newspaper reporter before turning to PR, and was managing editor of the Boston Herald for 11 years, according to BrandeisNOW.
