Mark Read, creator of the mobile Occupy Wall Street projection van The Illuminator, was on hand with his vehicle last night as the movement’s protesters marched on Atlantic Yards, the controversial real estate development and basketball stadium under construction in Downtown Brooklyn.
The vehicle projected the iconic “99 Percent” logo on the exterior of the future home of the Brooklyn Nets, as well as animations satirizing New York City mayor Michael Bloomberg, Brooklyn borough president Marty Markowitz, developer Bruce Ratner, and former New York governor George Pataki, as the crowd chanted.
Documentary filmmakers Michael Galinsky and Suki Hawley (of “The Battle for Brooklyn”) were on hand to film the whole thing. [Brownstoner]
