Ever wonder what it’s like to be James Franco? Recently, the artist/actor/Oscar host/Renaissance man/super-valedictorian provided a glimpse into what we imagine to be his everyday life by posting a still from Harmony Korine’s new filmette, “Rebel,” which will premiere at the Venice Biennale. Wearing a t-shirt that seems to feature his spooky Hollywood precursor, James Dean, Franco is surrounded by a bevy of (metaphorical?) naked women in sunglasses and pink bandit bandanas, who seem to either be attacking or worshipping him — while he stays dolefully within his own head. I agree children should not be on Facebook. Why didn’t Facebook just remove the picture, did they have to remove his account or was that Franco’s choice. Either way it’s stupid and I’m dissapointed in Facebook, he is an artist and a great actor. I admire countries that allow true freedom of expression, not the prudes at Facebook. Really, were these drastic measures really necessary. He has also gone silent on Twitter. James, the actions of a few are not the feelings of the many.
