If you were looking to pick up a Suzan Frecon work from her solo show at David Zwirner’s at ADAA booth, you are out of luck. Before tonight’s opening reception and gala benefit was over, gallery director Julia Joern reported a sold-out booth at the Art Show. Exact prices weren’t given out in the release, but works went were priced between $40,000-100,000. Sales were also unofficially reported throughout the evening at Lehmann Maupin and Blum & Poe, though no one else has put up the “sold out” sign as far as I know [UPDATE: the Yoshitomo Nara show at Pace Gallery is rumored to have sold out in the first two hours, including a sale to artist Damien Hirst, as well]. Stay tuned to ARTINFO throughout the day tomorrow and follow me on Twitter @shane_ferro for sales updates (and random quips).
